Age of Conan Mounts
Hey folks,
Since most of you that voted on the poll have preordered. I will be discussing the 3 mounts. Most of you probably know this information already however it never hurts! Sorry for the lack of video updates. They are coming I promise.
Taken from the Age of conan forums. Thanks to Cildaten for his research.
-=General Info of Mammoth/Rhino/Horse=-
The War Mammoth is a massive, but slow mount that does tremendous damage in player-versus-player battles. These gargantuan beasts, mounted by skilled riders, stride across the blood-soaked fields as mighty battleships set to conquer some unknown harbor. A vital instrument in any siege attack, a War Mammoth may very well determine the outcome of a battle. Employing these beasts in your attack means that you can break down walls and damage buildings even without siege weapons.
The Killer Rhino is a less powerful but quicker mount, speed packed into a body intended to maim and slaughter. On their backs, skilled riders fight for control, carefully employing them in battle where the death of many is required in as short time as possible. In siege battles the Killer Rhino is a potent yet dangerous instrument of death thanks to its ability to brutally plow through large masses of enemies in a quick, brutal and lethal frenzy.
The horse is another ridable mount, and they can be used for combat and for day to day travel. Your horse, for example, can be controlled to kick with its front or hind legs when in combat, and you can fight or cast spells from its back. Each mount will grant his or her rider buffs in stats, for instance the horse can be equipped with armor which will buff your characters overall armor.
The horse is the fastest traveling mount, with the Rhino and the Mammoth being mostly reserved for siege combat.
Apparently mounting up has an animation isntead of the good old spell bar. This is a welcome change for once for many MMORPG players. I myself have pre-order through EBGAMES//Gamestop and will be receiving the War mammoth.
Pictures to come soon as I go pick this thing up in the morning!
